The Big Spin Fundraising Event- Terms and Conditions Agreement

The Big Spin is a fundraising event held on Thursday the 28th of November and involved me fundraising to raise money to support families of seriously and injured children at Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney (RMHC GWS).

I acknowledge that the event is being held to fundraise for RMHC GWS and I agree to abide by these terms and conditions and all rules, regulations an instructions for the event, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Participation in the event

I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and I am aware of and expressly assume all risks assosicated with me in the Event.

I confirm that I am available to attend The Big Spin on Thursday the 28th of November, and understand there is a limit to 30 teams who can participate. I also understand that each team can have up to 10 members, with only 4 participants allocated to a bike. A team of 10 will be allocated 2 bikes. 

I confirm that by signing up to the Big Spin, I will cover the $50 registration fee.

I understand and acknowledge that RMHC GWS is not in a position to judge my  capacity, fitness or any other matter in relation to my ability to participate in the Event. I assure RMHC GWS that it has no reason to conduct any special inquiry into my capacity, fitness, or any other matter relating to my ability to participate in the Event and I am not aware of any illness, injury or any other matter which may cause me injury while participating in the Event.

I request RMHC GWS to treat my request to participate in the Event and fundraise for RMHC GWS as being from a person fully capable of fundraising and participating in the Event. I agree to put in place appropriate precautions before participating in the Event. I acknowledge that RMHC GWS is not responsible for organising or paying any costs involved with such medical assistance. 

Privacy and use of personal information

I acknowledge that RMHC GWScollects the personal information requested from me when I signed up to participate in the Event to facilitate and promote my participation in the Event. This information is collected in accordance with the requirements under the Australian Privacy Principles, which are contained within Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). I acknowledge that if RMHC GWS does not collect this personal information, I will be unable to participate in the Event.

I acknowledge that RMHC Privacy Policy at https://www.rmhc.org.au/privacy-policy contains information about the following:

• how RMHC may hold, use and disclose my personal information;
• how I can access personal information held by RMHC and seek correction to this information;
• how I may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how RMHC will handle my complaint.

I agree that any photographs, video, film footage or audio recording of me taken as part of the Event may be used by RMHC GWS and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries and agents for the purposes of promoting The Big Spin and RMHC GWS and I hereby perpetually and irrevocably consent to any such use without payment or compensation and waive any rights I might have to object to such uses under parts IX and XIA of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).

I understand that RMHC GWS will endeavour to remove any photographs, video, film footage or audio recording of me and/or my child as soon as reasonably possible upon written request from me.

Promotion of Fundraiser & RMHC GWS  

I understand that all material with which the RMHC GWS name and logo is to be associated must first be approved by RMHC GWS. I acknowledge that to utilise the RMHC GWS name and/or logo on any materials or products, I must obtain prior written permission from RMHC GWS.   

I understand that:  

• Permission to use the logo must be requested 
• any materials, pamphlets, brochures or products must be submitted to RMHC for approval  
• any printed materials, such as a media release, must be pre-approved by RMHC GWS  
• any printed materials must be forwarded to RMHC GWS for approvals prior to being printed or circulated  

I acknowledge that without authority from RMHC GWS to fundraise, I am not permitted to identify RMHC GWS as a charity associated with my fundraiser, in promotion or through the use of other materials.

FUNDRAISING REWARDS

To be eligible to win and receive fundraising rewards you must;

• be a registered participant of The big Spin 2024;
• reach the relevant fundraising milestone;
• have an Australian address for shipping purposes;

 Other terms:

• Rewards will be given to you on the 28th of November at the Big Spin event.
• Sports singlet sizes are limited, we will endeavour to supply you with the size you chose on registration, however, this is not guaranteed;
• Sports singlets are given to the first 200 participants who raise $160 for the Big Spin
• Hurry, as all stock is limited;
• Any travel costs incurred for RMH visits are at own cost;
