Over 552 Kilometres from home
Families at Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney travel from rural and regional Australia to receive the critical care that their child requires, just like Dallas' family who are 552km from their home.
Meet Dallas
Dallas' family first called Ronald McDonald House their home-away-from-home when his mum Joelene was 20 weeks pregnant and learnt that Dallas had multiple life-threatening heart conditions. With their hometown 552km away in Leeton NSW, Dallas (now one), his parents and two big sisters have continued to call our Westmead House home so that he can continue to receive the critical treatment he requires.
"This house means everything to us. Not only is it Dallas's first home but it's a safe place for all of us to be close to Dallas during his times in hospital. We have so much appreciation for Ronald McDonald House and all that they do for us"
-Joelene, Dallas's mum
