Meet our family.

Last November, our six-month-old son, Reuben had open heart surgery.

Just 20 weeks into my higher risk pregnancy with the twins, we found out Rueben would be born with a hole in his heart. He was later diagnosed with a rare condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot.

When the boys were only five months old we flew from our home in South Australia to Western Sydney for Ruebens critical surgery.

After flying over and not working for three months, there was no way we could afford to stay in Sydney to get to appointments and be close to Reuben during his operation and recovery, whilst also maintaining some form of normalcy for this twin brother Willow.

Enter Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney.

This charity housed us, fed us and basically kept us sane during the emotional rollercoaster that is associated with having a sick child. We don't know where we would be without them and this is our attempt to say thank you and pay it forward to hopefully help future families that find themselves in the similar circumstances.

Here's where the fun comes into it, to Shave or to Save?

As you can see, Charlie hasn't had a hair cut or a shave in a few years and the thick man bun and similarly thick beard will attest to that. SO LET'S GET TO IT.

Basically the future of Charlie's facial region is in your hands because your donation gives you the power to choose to SHAVE or SAVE Charlie's hair! The choice with the most money will determine the fate of his hair.

Not only will you literally be changing the face of Charlie, you will be helping an amazing cause that supports families, like ours, during some of their most difficult times. Please also spread the word by sharing this page with your friends and family and let's get that man his first hair cut in a few years!

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Charlie & Co. Coffee Van

Who is a barista without their coffee van? Charlie & Co. Coffee Van has been vital in getting our fundraiser out to the world!

Starting in 2018, our beautifully restored 71' Franklin Caravan has been spreading smiles and much needed caffeine across the hearts of South Australia.

We are loving the banter and laughs from customers taking bets on if Charlie will SHAVE or SAVE!

Check out our Instagram & Facebook to learn more about our van and how you can hire it out!

About Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney

Ronald McDonald House Charities GWS gives seriously ill children the best gift of all – their families.

Our Westmead House provides warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families of children who need to travel to Sydney Hospitals for critical care and treatment. We create a safe and welcoming environment where families can stay connected, and parents can communicate more easily with their child's medical team.

In the past year alone, over 2,100 families from regional and rural Australia stayed at a Ronald McDonald House in Sydney. Allowing parents and carers to focus on what is most important, the health of their child. Watch the video below and see why you need to stand with Mitchell and all kids with a serious illness or injury.
