Western Sydney Walk for Sick Kids

CBRE have been supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Westerm Sydney (RMHC GWS) for a number of years now through various Working Bee's at the House and in 2023 raised an incredible $35,000 to sponsor a room in the House.

Now the proud sponsors of room 118, the team are determined to raise even more vital funds for the
1,500 families supported annually. RMHC GWS provide warm beds, hot showers, laundry facilities, family-friendly kitchens and indoor/outdoor play areas: all the essentials of a family home.

As a room sponsor, the impact is real – it determines how the house operates and the services RMHC GWS are able to provide the families. As hospital stays, treatments and surgeries increase annually, so does the demand for the much-needed service.

RMHC GWS need your help to keep the doors open.

The team at CBRE Western Sydney will be walking to Ronald McDonald House on Tuesday 21 May, and  need your help to reach our $50,000 goal.

About RMHC GWS

Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney run a 60-room House at Westmead right next door to the Children's Hospital.

They provide a home-away-from-home to families with sick and injured children who travel over hundreds of kilometres for critical medical treatment. The House provides more than just accommodation, they offer warm meals, education services, in-house programs and holistic support.

The 6o room House in Westmead supports over 1,500 families every year. Having left their homes and support network behind to access critical hospital treatment for their child, our House becomes their haven. But it's only possible thanks to our generous community.

Ten-year-old Olivia (pictured with her Mum Rebecca) was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in May 2023.  Leaving Bathurst with her parents and two siblings for life-saving treatment in Westmead, Olivia's family called our House home for over four months.

"Thankyou so much for everything you have done for us. You have definitely helped our family to create some beautiful memories at a difficult time". Rebecca, Olivia's Mum.
