Meet Mikaela.
Mikaela and her family called Ronald McDonald House their home-away-from-home for 106 days while Mikaela received life-saving treatment.
One month after moving to South Australia from Bombay, two-year-old Mikaela was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer.
Mikaela and her family relocated to the Ronald McDonald House in Westmead so Mikaela could receive a liver transplant, something that wasn't available in South Australia.

Despite having to cancel many face-to-face events in recent years due to the global health crisis, we have continued to show our support for this amazing cause.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney
By donating to Ronald McDonald House Charities GWS, you're giving a seriously ill or injured child the best gift of all – their families.
The Westmead House provides a warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families who need to travel to Sydney Hospitals for their child's critical care and treatment. Creating a safe and welcoming environment where families can stay connected, and parents can communicate more easily with their child's medical team.
On average, it costs Ronald McDonald House Charities GWS $160 to support a family with a sick child for one night. Thanks to generous supporters like you and the wider ACN community, over 2,100 families from regional and rural Australia are supported each year.
