"After long days at the hospital, having a warm, home cooked meal waiting for us means more than we can express."
Two-year-old Alby was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in January this year. His big sister, Callie, little brother Hugh and parents Eliza and Matt have relied on Ronald McDonald House in Westmead for 130 nights while he receives life-saving treatment. Programs such as Meals from the Heart are a lifeline for families like Alby's but they're only possible with the support of our community.
"It gives us one less thing to worry about, and reminds us we are not alone - that there is a whole community supporting us."
— Eliza, Alby's Mum
Why your support is essential

Over 33,000 meals and counting...
Last year, we provided over 33,000 meals and snacks to families with sick and injured children, but this is only possible with the help of generous donors like you.
This year we're planning to increase that number by 70% to not only support families staying at our Westmead House, but also hundreds of local families with a child receiving treatment at The Children's Hospital Westmead. Your donation helps make this possible, to keep families strong at the toughest of times.

It takes many hands to prepare tens of thousands of meals for families with sick kids each year.
Our in-house group programs are a fun, memorable way to make a difference and develop your cooking skills with friends, family, or colleagues.
If you'd like to visit our Westmead House and help prepare meals,
Leave a message of support for families like Alby's
