About Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney
Ronald McDonald House Charities gives seriously ill children the best gift of all – their families.
Our House is a warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families of children who need to travel to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for treatment. We create a safe and welcoming environment where families can stay connected, and parents can communicate more easily with their child's medical team.
In 2021, Ronald McDonald House Westmead supported over 2500 families with a seriously ill child, allowing parents and carers to focus on the health of their child when they need it most.

Meet Scout and London.
They have a lot in common. The brothers love the outdoors, playing with cars, trucks, their pets (a dog and two guinea pigs) but the truth is, they’re pretty happy doing almost anything as long as they’re doing it together.
They have something else in common, too. They were both born with cleft lips and palates and Pierre Robin syndrome.
The pair have spent much of the first part of their lives in hospitals. But with the help of Ronald McDonald House, they’ve been able to have their parents and each other nearby.
Want to know how you will be helping sick kids?
Ronald McDonald House Charites Greater Western Sydney is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head to rest at night.
