Help give families with sick kids the most important gifts of all this Christmas
A home close to the hospital, meals, counselling, peace of mind, happy memories and much-needed support.
Your donation helps provide services that reduce the financial and emotional stress for families with sick and injured children, so they can focus on what matters most, precious time together.
Matilda (pictured centre) will spend her 10th birthday and Christmas far from home this year. She has been battling rhabdomyosarcoma since November 2023, staying at the House with her family and making lifelong friends, with other families. Your donation will help keep Matilda and her family strong.
On Boxing Day 2023, 9-year-old George broke his arm while at home in Moree NSW. It may have saved his life. Doctors discovered George had leukaemia. His family including three younger siblings, have stayed at our Westmead House home ever since. They are counting on our support this Christmas.
This is three year old Leo with his Mum Natalie. Their family's world was turned upside down in January this year, when Leo, the youngest of six kids, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and rushed to Westmead to begin critical treatment. We have supported them every since.
Your donation will provide
critical support.
Our 60 room House in Westmead provides vital support to over 1,600 families every year. These families have travelled long distances for life-saving treatment at The Children's Hospital Westmead.
Overall we support over 2,500 families every year, between our home away from home, a Day Pass Program for all patient families at Westmead Children's Hospital and Hospitality Carts on childrens wards at Campbelltown and Nepean Hospitals.
Your donation today, helps to make this life-changing support possible.
- Natalie, Mum of Leo
"The fact that amazing buffet food was available at least 3x per week was a huge weight off our shoulders because we didn't have to worry about cooking etc as often and it also helped a great deal financially, which was important as we were not working due to being away from home."
- Christina, Mum of Teodore
"Almost 11 months of tears, fear and anxiety around this scary journey. Watching our child suffer the way she has, there are no words to describe. This house has been a safe haven, a saviour. Many we will forever be connected with, friendships that will never be broken for their warmth is too special... Forever grateful for all the amazing staff and volunteers who continually provide such a beautiful home to families just like ours"
- Katie, Mum of Matilda
Thank you for your support and wishes
Your donation will provide support that families in our care remember for a lifetime. The "House that Love Built" and all the other services we provide to families, just isn't possible without you.
Thank you for your love and kindness. We'd love to welcome you to the House soon.
